Our Easter egg box is a charming idea to wrap gifts in a unique way. Instead of the usual rectangle or cube shape, it is designed in the shape of an Easter egg and can be wonderfully decorated with ribbon, washi tape or eyelets. This way, small things are packaged attractively and playfully for your loved ones and you can give the gift of spring-like joy.
Material:
- Design paper (cut 20 x 30cm)
- Cutting and folding board
- Scissors
- Folding pen
- Bone Folder
- Pencil and eraser
- Ruler or set square
- Double-sided tape
- cutter
Optional:
- Some ribbon or cord
- Eyelets + eyelet punch
Step 1
Use the stencils to draw the shape on the design paper.
Think about the arrangement of the motifs, for example next to template 1, on the left with the insertion slot, you place template 2 directly and thus the shape ends on the right with the insertion tab.
Now place the templates 3 and 4 for the front and back of the box on the design paper at the top and bottom, as in sketch 2, and trace.
Step 2
Cut out the entire shape and cut along the tuck slot with a cutter to create an opening for the tuck tab.
Step 3
Now add the fold lines in the right places. To do this, use your folding pen or bone folder and ruler.
Step 4
Next, mark the position of the holes through which you will later pull the ribbons to close the box, and punch them out with the eyelet punch, for example.
Step 5
Fold the adhesive tabs over, apply double-sided adhesive tape to them and then shape the box.
At the end, decorate the closure of the box as you wish, we used a subtle ribbon here.
A nice idea for lovely little things, not just at Easter!
We hope you enjoy crafting.
