Anleitung: Two in One Box

Instructions: Two in One Box

Today we're going to show you instructions where you can conjure up two different boxes using some design paper and by slightly modifying the dimensions.

What do you need for this?

Material:

Tools:

Instructions Box 1:

Step 1: Cut and fold design paper

Take the design paper and cut it to the dimensions 30.5 cm x 28 cm.

Place the long side of the paper on your folding board and fold it at 11.5 cm and 19 cm.

Then turn the paper over and place it on the short side. Fold it here at 11.5 cm and 16.5 cm.

Now place a ruler or set square from one of the fold intersections to the corner of the paper so that you divide the squares created by folding diagonally. Then draw a 3 cm long fold line from the fold intersection using a bone folder/folding pen.

Now mark the cutting lines of the basic shape. To do this, start from the end of the 3 cm long fold lines and draw a diagonal line towards the edge of the paper, to the end point of the other fold lines you drew.

Cut out the basic shape along these lines.

Next, draw more fold lines. To do this, mark 2.5 cm in the middle along the long sides at the top and bottom. Mark 1 cm in the middle of the short sides. Using your folding bone/folding pen, draw the additional fold lines from the marked points to the respective fold intersection. Now go over all the fold lines once with the bone folder.

Step 2: Closing the box

Cut another piece of design paper measuring 2.3 cm x 4 cm. Place the long side of this on your folding board and fold it at 1 cm and 2 cm. The smaller piece makes the adhesive tab. Apply the glue to this and stick the piece to the rear inner wall of the box.

Make sure you apply the double-sided tape to the colored side of the paper. This ultimately results in the insertion tab.

Finally, fold the sides together and insert the tab at the top into the resulting pocket.

You have already finished the first box!

Instructions Box 2:

Step 1: Cut and fold design paper

The second box is constructed similarly to the first box. First cut another design paper to the dimensions 30.5 cm x 28 cm. Place the long side of the paper on your folding board and fold it at 11 cm and 19.5 cm. Then turn the paper over and place it on the short side. Fold it here at 11 cm and 17 cm.

Next, draw the additional fold lines. To do this, mark 5.5 cm in the middle along the long sides at the top and bottom. Mark 3 cm in the middle of the short sides. Using your folding bone/folding pen, draw the additional fold lines from the marked points to the respective fold intersection. Now go over all the fold lines once with the bone folder.

Step 2: Closing the box

Cut another piece of design paper measuring 6 cm x 7.5 cm. Place the long side of this on your folding board and fold it at 1 cm and 6.5 cm.

The smaller piece makes the adhesive tab. Now place the paper on the short side and fold it at 2 cm and 5 cm. Cut away the areas marked in grey.

You can now taper the 1 cm wide strips a little. Apply some glue to the adhesive tab and stick the piece to the back inside wall of the box. Again, make sure that you apply the double-sided tape to the colored side of the paper. This ultimately results in the insertion tab.

Finally, fold the sides together and tuck the tab at the end into the front and sides.

Congratulations, your second box is ready too!

Finally, you can fill and decorate your two boxes as you wish.

We hope you enjoy crafting.
