stamp impression coloring
Here we go step by step through the different options for stamping, coloring and the background.
Stamp the motif with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne' to create a hard border for your coloring.
VersaMagic , MementoLuxe and VersaColor ink pads are suitable for delicate coloring .
For this we need watercolor paper, a brush (size 2), some water and an acrylic block . Dab the stamp pad onto this and the color will be absorbed from there.
We start with the lightest color, in this case VersaMagic 'Sahara Sand ', and paint the fur over a large area. Now we paint shading on the edges with a darker shade (' Jumbo Java ').
For the scarf, color again with the lighter color and then paint along the lines with dark color (here ' Spanish Olive ' and ' Hint of Pesto ').
Finally, use plenty of water and ' Midnight Black ' to add small shading to the tip of the tail and the pompom.
Accentuate the ears and cheeks with ' Pixie Dust' .
No-Line Water Color
When coloring stamps, you can also use the so-called no-line watercolor method . This makes the motifs appear much more delicate, but it takes a bit of practice not to paint over the fine lines.
To begin with, the motif must be stamped very lightly. VersaMagic 'Wheat' is a good choice. Using 'Sahara Sand', we paint the fur from the edge to the middle.
We start with the shading. Now trace the stamped lines.
ATTENTION
Don't use too much water , otherwise it will run and you won't be able to see the lines anymore.
Color the scarf with 'Aspen Mist ' and trace the lines again with ' Ocean Depth '.
Finally, trace the nose, eyes and mouth with a black ink pad. Or if you are not so experienced with a brush, use a fine black pen.
Stamping and coloring fabric
Tsukineko’s ink pads are also ideal for stamping and painting fabric.
The MementoLuxe pigment inks are very color-intensive and are ideal for different materials such as fabric, wood, leather and paper.
The rich colors dry quickly and remain bright after ironing, even after several washes.
We hope you have fun coloring!
