This time we have a little project from the heart for you with which you can give a lot of love and joy. Depending on the season, there is space here for homemade chocolates or other great little things.
What do you need for this?
Material:
2x sheets of design paper
Tool:
-
Paper cutter with folding board
-
Bone Folder
- Very thin folding pen with ball head
-
Scissors
-
Set square / ruler
- Pencil and eraser
- Glue
Preparation
Cut the design paper for the base box and the lid with the following dimensions:
Basic box :
Lid
Step 1
Place the cut paper in front of you and make sure you have the right pattern for the shape. Now you can use a well-sharpened pencil to draw guidelines on the back at a distance of 4 cm from the edge.
Mark the indicated points and connect them to form a heart using the folding pencil and set square.
Now draw lines on each side of the heart at right angles from the corner points up to a height of 4 cm with the pencil. Now connect these into rectangles using the folding pen. The basic shape is now finished and still needs adhesive tabs.
step 2
Now add the 1 cm adhesive tabs. We need these between the individual side parts (see illustration). They will be slightly slanted. No side part is left in the upper middle of the heart, but the top is divided.
Now cut out your shape and trace all the fold lines.
step 3
Now fold all the side pieces up by placing them precisely on the fold line of the next piece. Glue them together to create the final shape. The two triangles in the middle are left, leaving a gap above.
Step 4
Now take the paper measuring 7.6 x 4 cm and fold it on the long side:
1cm - 3.8cm - 6.6cm .
Now fold this as shown and slant the adhesive tabs slightly at both ends.
Now insert the prepared strip into the gap in the heart and glue it to the two small tips in the middle. These in turn give the whole thing stability.
Your basic shape is now complete and you can concentrate on the lid.
Step 5
For this you need the design paper measuring 17 x 16 cm . This time you draw a thin pencil line in sequence at a distance of approx. 2.5 cm .
Then mark the same corner points of the heart again and trace them with the folding pencil.
You will need the side pieces again on all sides, this time at a height of 2.5 cm .
To do this, use a set square to help you get the right angle.
Finally, cut out your entire shape.
Step 6
For the gap in the middle of the heart, cut a piece of design paper measuring 3" x 1" (7.6 x 2.5 cm) . Proceed in the same way as in step 4.
Fold this on the long side at 1 cm - 3.8 cm - 6.6 cm .
Fold and glue this in place, but this time not precisely, but with a minimum distance to the fold line.
This makes it easier to put the lid on. Of course, you can also glue the lid by placing it on the box and then gluing the side flaps.
And the beautiful box is ready, which can be filled with lots of love and magic inside and out!
We hope you enjoy crafting.
