Today we'll show you how you can make a simple dice box out of two sheets of design paper. With this you can wrap gifts for your loved ones in no time.
What material you need:
-
(1x) sheet of design paper with a pattern
-
(1x) sheet of plain design paper
Tool:
Step 1
Cut and fold design paper
Take the design paper with the pattern and cut it to dimensions 30 cm x 22 cm.
Place the long side of the paper on your folding board and fold the paper:
4cm - 8cm - 14cm - 18cm - 20cm - 26cm - 28cm.
Of course, you can also use a ruler and folder for this.
Turn the sheet and place it on the short side. Fold the paper here:
4cm - 8cm - 14cm - 18cm
Place the long side of the paper in front of you. There are now two more fold lines missing.
However, these are not drawn across the entire sheet, but from the vertical 18 cm fold to the right edge of the paper. To do this, place the paper again with the short side against the folding board and draw a fold line at 6 cm and 16 cm up to the fold line mentioned.
step 2
Cut the basic shape.
Now let's get to the basic form. To do this, draw the cutting line along the lines drawn in red. The fold lines serve as a guide.
Cut out the basic shape along the red lines and trace all the fold lines with a bone folder. The surfaces with a height of 2 cm form the adhesive tabs. These now need to be rejuvenated a bit.
step 3
Apply adhesive tape
Take the basic shape of the box and place it with the patterned side (front) in front of you. Apply double-sided adhesive tape to the marked adhesive tabs (KL).
Now turn the paper over to the other side (back). Here too, apply double-sided adhesive tape to the marked adhesive tabs.
Step 4
Glue the basic box together
The basic shape remains with its back in front of you. Start by gluing the bottom of the box together. To do this, fold the surfaces all around from the right middle square upwards and glue the walls with the adjacent adhesive tabs.
You can now fold the large adhesive surfaces that are facing upwards at the opening into the resulting box and stick them to the walls that have already been created. These cover the previous glued tabs. You can use a bone folder to rub the side flaps onto the walls.
Now do the same with the lid of the box. First glue a box together again and then fold the remaining side flaps inwards.
Step 5
Inner web and inner lining of the box
Cut a strip of plain paper for the inner bridge.
This measures 9 cm x 17.7 cm. Place the long side of the strip on your folding board and fold the paper at: 5.9 cm and 11.8 cm.
Then place the short side of the paper on the folding board and fold it here at 4.5 cm.
Now you have to cut the vertical fold lines from the bottom to the horizontal fold line. The cut surfaces create additional adhesive tabs, which you fold up and stick to the other surfaces.
Now you can use a corner rounder to round off the front corners with the fold line at the top.
Your inner bar is ready to be glued into the basic box. Insert it into the bottom of your box and glue it along the side walls. The side wall that is connected to the lid of the box remains free.
TIP: Make sure you apply glue to the continuous part of the paper and secure it in the box. Also, don't stick too high, as a small part of the interior will peek out.
Cover the remaining inside of the box with another strip of paper. Cut the strip, measuring 5.7 cm x 17.8 cm, from the same plain paper as the strip for the inner bridge. Place the long side on your folding board and fold the strip at: 5.9 cm - 7.9 cm - 11.9 cm.
Now stick the strip into the box. Start with the bottom of the box and then glue the strip along the side walls up to the lid.
Congratulations, your box is ready!
If you want, you can create a banderole from another strip of paper, which you can then place around your finished box. Finally, you can decorate and decorate the box according to your wishes and fill it with gifts for your loved ones.
We hope you enjoy crafting.

Ich Papierboxen, wenn sie doppelwandig gearbeitet sind – so wie hier. Das sieht gleich viel hochwertiger aus mit schönen Kanten und nichts verbiegt sich. Wunderbar!
