When I wanted to use the beautiful layered butterfly punches , I started thinking about what kind of paper I could use to punch out the second layer of wings.
The wings should look as light and beautiful as those of a real butterfly.
Then I remembered the tissue paper from Alexandra's packages because it feels very soft.
But I didn't like the wings in just white, I needed some color...
And what could be better to achieve beautiful color?
Exactly…the Magicals Powder from Lindys !
material
- Tissue paper (e.g. from your last order)
- Magicals ( Ramblin' Rose Pink , Gustav's Gold Leaf , Hydrangea Blue )
- Spray bottle with water
- Embossing Heat Tool
And this is how it works:
Sprinkle a little bit of powder on the tissue paper, spray it with water – and you can watch the wonderful colors unfold on the paper.
A pure spectacle of color!
To give the paper a nice “wrinkled look,” I blow-dry it with the Embossing Heat Tool.
Now you can continue working with the colored paper. As described at the beginning, I punched out the second layer of the butterfly wings. But the paper is also suitable for many other crafts.
I can also imagine it being used in scrapbooking as a background or decorative element on a layout. Or the wings of the dragonfly punch , or or or...
If I've inspired you to recycle tissue paper, please show me your work. I'm excited to see what you come up with!
